Italian Packaging Industry
The Italian packaging machinery sector is one of the most dynamic and export-oriented Italian industrial sectors, accounting for a turnover of more than 7 billion euros.
Italy’s strong leadership position in this sector has been achieved through a strong focus on innovative technology, quality engineering, customization, operating flexibility, as well as strong after-sales support.
Italy has a long presence in the US market and has been the 2nd largest importer of packaging machinery for years. In 2018 Italian sector exports to the US increased by 36%, reaching $510 million, accounting for about 20% of all packaging machinery imports.
The next edition of Pack Expo will take place November 8-11, 2020 in Chicago.
