Italian trade agency at IMTS 2018

ITA once again putS the “I” in IMTS and IAMD

IMTS 2018 was the 32nd edition of the premier manufacturing technology show in North America, hosting the highest number of exhibiting companies ever (2,563) and was the largest in number of registrations (129,415) and in net square feet of exhibit space (1,424,232) at the McCormick Place complex. IMTS is held every even-numbered year in Chicago and attracts buyers and sellers from 117 countries.

Being one of the world's leading show for capital good technologies and machinery, this year Machines Italia, a project of the Italian Trade Agency had representatives at both IMTS  and IAMD with Italy's UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE (Booth # 221005 North Building) and with Italy's Assofluid and Federazione ANIE (Booth# E - 134347 East Building).

The Italian Trade Agency organized with Assofluid, and Federazione ANIE the third Italian Pavilion at the Integrated Automation, Motion & Drives USA show, this year featuring eight (8) of Italy's strongest companies involved in the sector. IAMD USA presented the complete spectrum of industrial automation, IT, power transmission and fluid power technology. At IAMD USA, manufacturers had the chance to explore the latest innovations boosting the efficiency and reliability of the modern production process – from individual components to complete systems.

On the evening of September 12th, the Agency, together with UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, hosted its traditional “Italian Night at IMTS 2018” event, comprised of a boat tour of Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline. Invitees, consisting of US, Italian and international business and government agencies, were treated to traditional Chicago blues music and cuisine.
