Comic-Con International 2019
Over it’s four-and-a-half decade-plus history, Comic-Con International has become the focal point for the world of comics conventions.
This year was the most extensive Comic-Con International programming schedule to date. It spanned all four days and included 19 separate rooms in the Convention Center, ranging from 256 seats to the massive 6,500-seat Hall H. It comes as no surprise that Comic-Con International is the largest of any comics or pop culture convention in the country.
Over the years, Comic-Con has presented literally thousands of special guests at its conventions over the years, bringing comics creators, science fiction and fantasy authors, film and television directors, producers, and writers, and creators from all aspects of the popular arts together with their fans for a fun and oftentimes candid discussion of various art forms.
On July 18-21, 2019, the Italian Trade Agency, took part in the Comic-Con with it's inaugural participation at the show. At booth #5526 visitors were able to see first-hand the work of the Italian illustrators, comic artists, and publishing houses wanting to promote their work to the U.S. market. The participants included: Coconino Press, Fabrizio Capigatti & Martina Fari, Grafimated Cartoon, Kotopopi Webcomics, Luigi Merati, The Sign Comics & Arts Academy of Florence, and Tunué Publishing.
