Italy at Automobili-D 2021

On September 21-26, 2021, at the most important U.S. trade show in the automotive sector, the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) organized its Innovation Days initiative dedicated to new technologies within the Automobili-D segment of Motorbella 2021 being held at the M1 Concourse in METRO DETROIT/PONTIAC. 

As part of our Italian Pavilion September 21-22, 2021 in Pontiac (Detroit) Michigan, eight (8) Italian innovators were able to highlight their individual cutting-edge solutions at Automobili-D the technology showcase of Motor Bella to a truly global audience, and demonstrating what makes Italy a global innovative leader in Smart City, AI, electric and autonomous vehicles technologies, which are contributing to changing the way the world moves.

The Italian Pavilion served as a 360° full-service, business-to-business hub, and let visitors interact with the Italian automotive innovation ecosystem showcasing Italy’s advanced technological solutions, both from industry and research. The Agency delivered to participants a well-rounded event experience with high visibility and an opportunity to acquire new business and/or forge new partnerships.

ITA had organized a featured panel presentation in a fireside chat format entitled Innovation that moves forward:, focusing on the Italian entrepreneurial, technological and scientific landscape and on public policies in the automotive sector.

The show

Automobili-D is known as NAIAS’s "Innovation Pavilion" and was open just during the show’s preview days (September 21-22, 2021), to which only industry professionals and journalists are admitted. In addition to an exhibition area, Automobili-D offered companies and technology-intensive start-ups a full program of matchmaking opportunities, pitch competitions in the presence of companies and investors in the mobility sector and technical seminar sessions complemented by networking events.
